I just got a call confirming my first appointment with the clinical dermatologist.
First appointment, mind you.
I marked it on my calendar so I would be sure not to miss it.
I should be able to remember it, though - it's on my Mom's birthday.
Some years, my Mom's birthday actually falls on a major holiday.
American holiday, I should say.
And on Mom's birthday, we sometimes have pumpkin pie instead of cake.
So, yeah.
I get my first appointment with the clinical dermatologist on ...
November 25th.
Socialist medicine in (in)action.
So which is worse? Having to pay out the ying-yang for a doctor appointment within a week or so, or see them for free after waiting for 4 months? I'm beginning to see that it's pointless to use the Canadian Health Care system to make arguments (either pro or con) aboot the American health care system. They both have aspects that are insanely frustrating, and aspects that make them seem better than the other. But when it comes down to it, I guess the only thing for sure is that you should be doing everything in your power to avoid ever having to go to the doctor in North America.
Sigh.....
(BTW: if you Google "Canadian doctors suck", all you get is images of porn)
